State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson announced additional honors for California Distinguished elementary schools selected as having an Exemplary Program in Arts Education. Sequoia Academy is pleased to announce that we are one of only twelve schools to have been selected for this award state-wide. When you consider that there are over 10,000 elementary schools in California, this award is truly a remarkable honor. Auditors who visited our school in early April were searching for evidence of exemplary performing arts, visuals arts, music, dance, and art technology. Congratulations students, faculty, administration, and staff. Keep showing that Eagle Pride!
Sequoia Academy has been recognized by two organizations as an outstanding elementary school in 2019. We've been recognized for exemplary student achievement by the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE) for our 10% improvement on standardized test scores. We have also been recognized as a Common Sense School because of our "dedication to teaching young people how to be safe, responsible digital citizens." Soar high with pride, Eagles!
